Get out the sun screen and strap on your bikinis/swim trunks! This smoothie is about to take you to the beach! Refreshing and tropical, a sure thirst quencher (and post work-out recovery shake) all-in-one! I love having this after a hard run/work-out as it replenishes muscle stores and gives a nice antioxidant boost :)
1 scoop Vega Protein* (I used Coconut Almond flavor)
1.5-2 C. Almond Milk and/or filtered water
½ C. Frozen Organic Raspberries
1 large ripe banana
1 Tbsp Almond Butter (optional)
1. Break apart banana and place in blender. Place in raspberries and protein powder, then pour almond milk/water over ingredients.
2. Blend until smooth. You may want to taste, then add small amounts of water until consistency is very smooth.
3. Option: Add in a handful of spinach for an extra hit of greens! I promise you will not taste it!
